Bih Jolokia is a ghost pepper, C. chinense, and Sugar Rush Peach is a C. baccatum. The two species do not cross readily, which is most of what makes this interesting. Chris Fowler's work. Pods come out four to five inches, long and tapered, ripening the peach and salmon of the baccatum parent, with medium-thick flesh. The plant runs 42 to 48 inches and takes 90 to 120 days, so start it early. 100,000 to 500,000 SHU. It took the ghost side of the family's heat and the Sugar Rush side's colour, which is the outcome anyone making that cross would have hoped for. What you are getting: a seedling, minimum 8 weeks old and at least 6 inches tall. It is not a finished plant. It will need transplanting into a container, so choose the container accordingly: these will grow in anything from a half gallon up, but the pot determines the yield in many cases, and some varieties do better than others in a small one. If it is going outside: harden it off first. Give it a few hours a day somewhere sheltered and out of direct sun, and build that up over a week or so before it lives outdoors full time. A seedling put straight out is a seedling you can lose. Feeding: do not fertilise for the first two weeks. After that, use a balanced fertiliser.
