Tiny round red pods native to the desert borderlands of southern Arizona, Sonora, and northern Mexico. A wild-type pepper that grows as a perennial in its native range. Fast, clean heat with earthy, slightly smoky flavor. Used in traditional Sonoran cuisine for generations. Grows slowly but rewards patience — plants become woody perennials in frost-free climates.
